Billable vs Non-Billable Time
As you’ve learned in this course, much of Anant’s work is consulting work where we are directly billing a customer for the time you work. This is known as “Billable time.”
Early in your time at Anant, be very careful about the hours that you mark as billable. To mark time as billable you should have received explicit instructions indicating the time can be marked billable. Billable work is nearly always work done for a specific client or customer- your Jira card should make this very clear.
Internal work, as is that done to develop or improve Anant’s “sites” or internal processes is not billable time.
Note that when logging time in Tempo, “Billable hours” are the default. You’ll need to click “Additional Options” and change the billable hours to zero for any non-billable hours you work.
