Who were we helping?
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (herein known also known as “AHRI”) came to the Anant Corporation with a basic problem: The vendor that created their content management system had gone out of business and the individuals from the defunct company were no longer able to support the needs of multiple websites that AHRI was managing.
What was the problem?
1. A proprietary CMS that was no longer maintained by manufacturer.
2. Internal IT team found the source code confusing and difficult to maintain internally.
3. The software did not allow basic features for easy front-end or back-end development.
4. Issues or bugs in their old CMS that arose would not be resolved for months on end.
How did we solve it?
Anant was able to provide an open source CMS that gave their communications / front-end design team a better tool for maintaining new websites.
Anant also took over day-to-day server maintenance issues and bug resolution as well as the operations and management of release life cycles for most of their public facing websites.
How did it impact the client?
Client was extremely satisfied with fast turnaround on various issues, and was also very satisfied with the new software. This allowed for flexibility to work in an efficient manner and freed up IT for more business-critical tasks.
As a result of using the Appleseed platform, the AHRI communications department can go to market with new sites much more expediently than before.
