I chose these resources to learn about Quality Assurance and how it applies to the work we do at Anant.

I learned the basic process for a Quality Assurance Plan and how important it is.

Key Knowledge

  1. Organization
    1. Appoint a project manager
    2. Appoint a project team
    3. Schedule weekly meetings for PM and team
    4. Formally document the project
    5. Define user requirements
    6. Prepare request for proposal if necessary
  2. Start-Up
    1. Request for proposal (if necessary)
      1. Choose vendor, use a standard evaluation
      2. Define vendor relations
      3. Schedule recurring vendor reporting
      4. Review responses to establish if the project has changed focus
    2. Complete user requirements
    3. Create benefit and budget report
    4. Create Project Plan with timelines and deliverables
    5. Complete risk analysis
    6. Create change management process
  3. On-Going
    1. Continue recurring project team meetings
    2. Record notes for each meeting
    3. Review project plan and make adjustments as needed
    4. Review risk analysis and make adjustments as needed
    5. Document all above for review by Project subject
  4. Product Implementation
    1. Create implementation plan
    2. Record best possible implementation time frame
    3. Confirm staff and time availability
    4. Provide employees/contractors with appropriate information
  5. Post Project Review
    1. Finalize project documentation
    2. Send/perform questionnaire to main users
      1. Success rating
      2. What was done right?
      3. What was done wrong?
      4. Hidden risks
      5. Risks that were not prevented using the mitigation actions
    3. Create final project report and distribute to the Project team and executive
